This is the kind of pin that we wore in the 60's plunked right in the center of the chest on one of our empire waist dresses preferably in black velvet, white or ice blue satin or on the lapel of a beautifully tailored suit....I also used to pin them to my evening bag and then in the 70's, we pinned them on a tailored jacket about 4" up from the wrist---that was a really edgy look that was great fun because you got to stare at your own jewelry during the day so you got double the pleasure from it............Of course, Kenneth Jay Lane who dressed our idol, Jackie, came up with the concept. This pin is from QVC and is part of a limited recasting of this classic KJL piece.
